Job Summary: The Fiscal Intermediary Coordinator will work with individuals and families who are enrolled in the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) Self-Direction program. The coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the fiscal intermediary services provided to participants in the program. This includes ensuring compliance with all program regulations and guidelines, monitoring financial transactions, and providing support to participants and their families.
Job Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for participants and their families regarding fiscal intermediary services
Ensure compliance with all OPWDD Self-Direction program regulations and guidelines, including required documentation and reporting
Work closely with participants and their families to identify their individual needs and preferences, and to develop and implement plans that meet those needs
Provide ongoing support and assistance to participants and their families to help them navigate the self-direction program
Communicate regularly with participants, their families, and service providers to ensure that all parties are informed and up-to-date on program requirements and services
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to program activities, including financial transactions, participant information, and service provider data
Participate in regular team meetings and training to stay current on program policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
Education/Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other relevant software programs
