Social Work Internship

About the Role

HASC Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Work Intern to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This internship offers meaningful, hands-on experience in a supportive nonprofit environment. Interns will work under the supervision of a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and gain valuable experience working in a human services setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage individuals through group or one-on-one interactions
• Collaborate on the development and implementation of person-centered service plans
• Maintain accurate case notes and documentation
• Attend team meetings and staff trainings

Requirements

• Enrollment in a BSW, MSW, MHC, or related graduate-level program (field placement eligible)
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Interest in working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism
• Eagerness to learn and contribute as part of a multidisciplinary team
